The Mischief Theatre has proven itself as one of the best groups around when it comes to putting on great comedies in the West End. Thanks to its win at the 2015 Laurence Olivier Awards for Best New Comedy with The Play That Goes Wrong and their other hit shows they have earned their place as reliable provider of big laughs.

So it is no surprise that audiences will be flocking to the Criterion Theatre in 2016 as the group presents its latest show, entitled The Comedy About A Bank Robbery. Boasting some talented individuals working behind the scenes and expert performers bringing it to life, it is bound to put smiles on faces all over again.

As you might expect from the title, The Comedy About A Bank Robbery focuses on a group of criminals – 8 in total – who are hoping to get their hands on something worth a lot of money – a giant diamond. But this is the Mischief Theatre we’re talking about and so audiences will expect plenty of things to go wrong.

It has been written by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields, whilst David Farley directs. Together they have crafted something that will leave a lasting impression on those headed to the Criterion Theatre.

But then they have a proven track record, with The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter Pan Goes Wrong and their improv show Lights! Camera! Improvise! all providing big laughs for audiences in the West End in recent years. As such, The Comedy About A Bank Robbery should be no different.

The Comedy About A Bank Robbery runs at the Criterion Theatre.
