Based on StanisÅ‚aw Lem’s science fiction novel, David Greig’s adaptation of Solaris will bring a new galaxy of theatre to the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre later this year. On a space station orbiting Solaris, three scientists have made contact with a new planet. Sent from earth to investigate reports of abnormal activity on-board, one crew member unexplainably passes away and two who are seeing things that cannot be explained. Have the crew been studying Solaris – or has it been studying them?

Solaris is not the only science-fiction play to entertain audiences throughout London. The Twilight Zone continues at the Ambassador’s Theatre, with the opening of The Man in the White Suit later this year.
