Show & Venue Information

Adapted from Paula Hawkins’ best-selling 2015 novel The Girl on the Train, the stage adaptation will receive its West End premiere at the Duke of York’s Theatre from July 2019. A gripping new play to keep audiences guessing at each part of the show’s tracks, join Rachel Watson as she becomes a vital part of a missing person’s investigation in a show where people are tested and ideas are questioned. So, if you enjoy solving mysteries and seeing fictional books told on stage, you’ll want to see The Girl on the Train.

Rachel Watson longs for a different life as she escapes into an alternative reality by watching a seemingly perfect couple live their life. When Rachel begins to wonder where the woman has gone, she suddenly finds herself as a witness and a suspect in a thrilling mystery play, where revelatory comments are brought to the fore.

The Girl on the Train is one of many productions recently announced that will be staged at this West End venue. Later this year, Touching The Void will bring the Peruvian Andes to London, while younger audiences are sure to be entertained at Peppa Pig’s Best Day Ever during the daytime. However, The Girl on the Train will bring carriages filled with drama, thrills and mystery to the West End.
