Embark on a West End adventure like no other at The Prince of Egypt, coming to the Dominion Theatre in 2020. Based on the DreamWorks animation film that dramatises the Book of Exodus and with the chart-topping song ‘When You Believe’ in the soundtrack, it’s guaranteed to be one of the biggest musicals of the decade. So, if you enjoy seeing West End premieres and religious events told on stage, you’ll want to see The Prince of Egypt.

Living a life of luxury, Moses later discovers his roots and learns of a secret past. Shocked at his seemingly past life, he is compelled to save his people and sacrifice himself for others. Freeing the Israelites and saving them from persecution, see how the religious, social and political history of an entire community is changed forever. The Prince of Egypt is a passionate musical that is guaranteed to pull at audiences heartstrings and lift the spirits of the auditorium.

The Prince of Egypt is not the only film-to-stage production in the West End. The revival of Mary Poppins at the Prince Edward Theatre will see the lovable Nanny fly onto Cherry Tree Lane once again, while The Man in the White Suit will see the British sci-fi film told on stage for the first time. Based on a religious text that is over 2,000 years old, no production will have quite as much historical resonance as The Prince of Egypt, playing at the Dominion Theatre from February 2020.

Luke Brady, Liam Tamne, Alexia Khadime and Christine Allado will star in the production.

The musical will feature 10 original, brand-new songs by Stephen Schwartz, who composed Wicked.

‘When You Believe’ won the 1999 Academy Award for best original song, and has also been covered by Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston.
