Show & Venue Information

The West End regularly attracts the newest productions, offering audiences the chance to see fresh theatre all year round. Whether it’s the hotly-anticipated Admissions set to open at Trafalgar Studios, or reinterpretations of older texts at The American Clock, The Starry Messenger is set to join an illustrious line up of shows guaranteed to excite audiences in 2019. It’s a play that shows how when life seems to be falling apart, there is always something to cheer you up in due course. So, if you want to see a West End premiere as well as some of the biggest names in the acting world, you’ll want to get tickets for The Starry Messenger.

At the start of the show, audiences will meet Mark Williams, an astronomy teacher at a planetarium. It immediately becomes clear that not everything is easy for this budding astronomer, especially when the planetarium he works at is about to close down. Wandering aimlessly down the streets of New York City, Mark is down on his luck. That’s until he meets Angela, a younger, attractive world who seems to turn his world upside down. See the stars align between the pair of them, as Mark and Angela face the world to show that a persons’ future can be written in the stars.
Exploring the intimacies of budding relationships, as well as a heartfelt look into daily life, The Starry Messenger is a comedic play that first entertained New York audiences in 2009. Don’t miss your opportunity to see a star cast tread the West End stage at what’s set to be one of this summer’s hottest production.
