Going to see a murder mystery written by Agatha Christie has become a West End must for many theatregoers. As well as The Mousetrap which has entertained London audiences since 1952, London County Hall has now been transformed into the latest stage for an Agatha Christie story, as Witness for the Prosecution brings the fictional case of Leonard Vole to a real life courtroom. So, if you want to be immersed into the dramatics of a court case and marvel at Agatha Christie’s impeccable writing, you’ll want to see Witness for the Prosecution.

Christie herself said that Witness for the Prosecution was one of her favourite plays, and once you’ve seen it, it will become one of yours too! When Leonard Vole is charged with the murder of Emily French, he approaches Sir Wilfrid Robarts to take on his case and clear his name. At first, it seems as though he’ll be able to leave court scot-free. But, when Leonard’s wife Romaine testifies, the court proceedings are turned on their heads.

Depending on where you choose to sit in the audience, you’ll be able to decide the results of the court case, really bringing theatregoers into the action. See Christie’s famous tale of justice, betrayal and passion in this intense drama that’s been summoning audience members into their own jury service since 2016. Make sure you escape the hangman’s noose and book your tickets for Witness for the Prosecution now.
